REPARATIONS

I have an unpopular rejection of the notion of reparations for African-Americans. It is based on the relationship with money Black Americans have with money in part, and on the self-knowledge Blacks carry within. Whites in power, and in general, respect power, and Black Americans consciously have not negotiated with power, wrestled honestly enough with its implications, and hold a set of paradigms that do not garner the respect of nations.

If money is given to Black Americans it would be pissed away, and deepen the contempt millions around the globe hold for us because of what we present to the world as a people. There isn't enough to express it all, but would you give money to a people that justify being called niggers? -Gregory E. Woods
