AFRICA

Linda Spiceepoit Martines-Elliott

"I grew up in and out of Africa. One thing as a teacher, musician, or ceremonial leader I resist doing is talking about Africa to African-Americans. It is too painful. The African of African-American repulses most African-Americans I come across throughout the US. Today the definition of self among us starts with "I am Black." What does that mean?" ~ Gregory E.
