Sandra Bullock in the threshold

Sandra Bullock has set a standard in my mind above the normal boundaries set by many beautiful women. Not taking herself as serious as one would assume has enhanced her outlook on life as she has conducted her life before her public, and made her seem approachable. But celebrity life is an illusion. Sales are the essence of show business. The sale of ideas, and illusions requires agreements on both sides of perception and belief. One, the public needs to believe a celebrity is approachable and like them or like they wish they could become one day, and on the other hand, the star needs to own a part of herself the public cannot access. The type of vulnerability Sandra Bullock carries within herself tells a clear story of trust: trust in public acceptance of her talent, and free spirit, trust in the idea of herself as a woman, and actress, and trust in the surety of ideas that support her sense of self that make her vulnerable. People unsure of themselves who cannot take confidence in their moral compass follow her love stories like movies. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories
