Kim Kardashian & Jessica Simpson wearing same leopard top
Today Khloé Kardashian is on a NBC news show, TODAY with Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, as a co-host with Hoda Kotb, a seasoned anchor, sitting in for Kathy Lee Gifford. As I speak the two women have been talking seriously about trivia for 15 minutes. I have a choice here. I could change the channel or turn the set off, remain judgmental, or take this seriously. These Kardashian/Jenner women are being groomed in the direction of their aspirations, and talents by a machine that sees their commercial value, and cultural appeal. It is a teaching often ignored by parents who are continually in angst over the state of their children’s lives. Before their reality show spun off their parents, all four of them, created a foundation that is proving to be strong and enduring. Their lives provide answers to basic questions asked by millions of parents, and the questions unasked about the development of a child, and the parental ability, and responsibility to perceive their child’s spirit, and learn to develop their innate abilities.

I decided to watch the show. I thought I would be able to do something else while they babbled, but one of my favorite country singers, Tim McGraw followed the first commercial to promote his new film. The next commercial brought on Kathy Bates whose TV series HARRY’S LAW is moving into its second season. Half way through the show I realized the host, Hoda Kotb, was deeply attuned to the young Kardashian. She fed her questions and comments to keep Khloé in the flow, and being a confident young woman flowed from one interview to the next easily. It was impressive watching the older woman take care of the young one who conceivably could ascend into a similar format when she matures as a woman and a wife. – Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories
