the Spiritual Responsibility

1950's

"In retrospect it seems American's 1950's lent its innocence to history. But that illusion masked the gross and painful contradictions of the time for poor whites, Negroes, and poor countries, and a struggling Japan and Europe recovering from war. Africa was creating strategies to free themselves from colonial rule and the Arab world was struggling against a low estimation of itself, and its wealth.

Children should play and be innocent of the times swirling around them, and those children should be able to look back on their childhood and smile. It is the adult's responsibility to re-access value, and determine the best possible future for their neighbors and all children, and the next generations to come. The generations are always coming forth, and our spiritual responsibilities are always present, in the moment." - Gregory E. Woods Keeper of Stories 3.24.13

American prisoners

"... a frightening commentary on the United States of America, and its addiction to bondage and the foundational attachment to slavery as a means to maintain wealth and power. It is a contradiction, and a moral dilemma Americans, by action, prefer to sweep under the rug, and yet be horribly affected by it, and its assault upon the 'family values' tooted as the ideal of what a good American is.

It is incredible how many don't get a single word I've said." - Gregory E. Woods
