Reverence to Pray

dark beautiful Aubrey

"Prayer and worship are not separate from the other. Prayer is about pouring out your soul in supplication to the One who can make all things possible. Prayer is also a meditation not in need of words, or gestures. It is a communion where silence prevails and the ears open up to the voices of trees, animals and the unseen ones who move around us. Prayer is the simplest way of perceiving what our true voice sounds like and what the voice of our guidance sounds and feels like.  Prayer is the silence of lambs, the roar of lions, the fierceness of the hunter and the steady calm of parenting a child's spirit. Prayer ties the cord between the living and the dead and affirms the presence of the pulse of Life."

- Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 7.20.14
