damn!

The Chic Zebra

Gemma, the model, has strong elastic in the stomach area to give a more shapely look.  Those are the words chosen to sale this item. In my mind is something else. She has the body of a mature woman of African descent. It has lived; probably given birth. This body type doesn't get the relationship with the cultural perception of Beauty or as a doorway to divine essentials.

The first time I saw this woman modeling those Portman shorts and the loose chemise in print media I felt the wind upon me, and gasped. She is modeling for Alison Oh Plus Model, but she is speaking to the essence of her joy, and the essential relationship with living with free expression. My first word may have been 'Damn!, but my thoughts were "That is such a feminine style of expression, the cloth and the design, that makes by suggestion the soft delicate movements spontaneously smile into the admiration of the woman wearing the outfit. The simplicity and the joy of free movement in the thought of the design agrees with the sense of entitlement to simple pleasures."

The third thing was a sound. It was the very old refrain from a commercial with the memorable phrase, "Nothing beats a great pair of legs!" - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 11.8.13
