Lola Falana's elegance marked her a Lady.


Loletha Elaine "Lola" Falana (Sept 11, 1942) is an American singer, dancer, & actress. Sammy Davis Jr. made her his protégé in his Broadway smash Golden Boy (1964-1966). Her career spanned stage, film, TV, & she became known as 'The First Lady of Las Vegas'. In 1987 she was stricken with Multiple Sclerosis. She left show business. In 1991 she converted to Roman Catholicism. Religion & faith became her focus. She tours with a message of hope & spirituality, and founded The Lambs of God Ministry.

Lola Falana, singer of depth and longevity. I remember her for the vitality of her life force and the manner she conducted herself in difficulty. It had a way of coming out in her stage performances.
