a Circle Teaching

Jane Mansfield by Ralph Crane in 1958.

Legacy is a natural occurrence, an event without end beginning somewhere beyond our individual births. How it ascends or descends is the parent's gift to child, and on a larger scale legacy moves through culture and history as a series of stories building a creative, or destructive momentum into lives. Legacy is complex as well as revelatory. The life you lead leads somewhere, came from somewhere and goes somewhere influencing, telling, objectifying, clarifying and mystifying us all.

This human experience. With its built-in résistance to change, to evolve coveting for the beyond experience of heaven brings hope to the heart and at the same time retards the life flow from the beyond in the present where we need to be to fully understand the fluidity of life-death-resurrection. This is the problem of belief in religion. It is the living within someone else's experiences with God!

How you live the experiences with Creation in relationship to the great mysteries, the unfolding of belief into knowledge, how the Creator and you talk with each other in the silences is the Mystery. This is the Beyond in the present. This legacy is the event without beginning somewhere beyond our individual births ascending and descending from soul to soul, Earth to formlessness, from one to the other. Within us all is the capacity to hold the universe.

It is a lot to think about if you want to not feel it all. If you want to think about it Murray Gell-Mann said, "What is especially striking and remarkable is that in fundamental physics a beautiful, or elegant theory is more likely to be right than a theory that is inelegant."
