What Do You Say?

model smoking a cigarette elegantly !!!!

What do you say to yourself? What do you say to judgments levied against you for how you look when you look within? Do you speak from your deep places, or ponder the scorn, weigh it and adjust yourself to distance yourself far enough from your emotions to see clearly where the other person's words come from? Is scorn so bad when you are right or defending someone's life force and esteem? Is it enough to be beautiful or an intellectual in complex times or simpler times when the living is easy and no one needs to be defended and you don't need to be defined for others' self esteem?

These are valuable estimations of character. They mean more to the warrior than the warrior's need for validation. The warrior himself is validated by his role in society not by the frightened souls who unbeknownst to them need him. Warriors can look over their faults as fear makes its way across the social landscape and invades the sensibilities of subjugated people to gaze upon what he must do for those who know him not well enough to sizably judge the weight of warrior's spirits.

What do you say to a man who knows you? What do you say to a woman who needs you? Place the two questions together into a relationship where a man and a woman know they need each other and assess the damage, or carnage from fear of intimacy, or gaze upon a wonderful work of art from their joined spirits. It is a wonderful thing magic and it is a terrible thing fear. If fear and magic united in a marriage of souls what becomes of the fear and what becomes of the magic?
